But literally it is a knowledge which introduces good and bad sensual characteristics and practices according to them, and shows the ways to attain good characteristics and good acts and avoid bad ones. The subject of this knowledge is limited regarding self and is vast concerning feature and there are four commonalities. This knowledge cleans self and beautifies actions and knowledge of code of ethics and manners does the same. اخلاق بر اساس معنای اصلی و ریشه لغوی‌اش مربوط به آن دسته صفاتی می‌شود که در نفس راسخ و تثبیت شده است، به ‌طوری که صاحب آن صفت بی‌درنگ کار متناسب و متناظر با آن را انجام می‌دهد؛ ولی در تعریف اصطلاحی، دانشی است که صفات نفسانی خوب و بد و رفتارهای متناسب با آنها را معرفی می‌کند و شیوه به ‌دست آوردن صفات خوب و انجام اعمال پسندیده و دوری از صفات بد و کردار ناپسند را نشان می‌دهد. موضوع این علم از جهت نفس، محدود و از لحاظ صفت، گسترده است و در آن چهار عمومیت ملاحظه می‌شود. از آنجایی که این دانش، هم به پیراستن و آراستن نفس می‌پردازد و هم در پی نیکوسازی و زیبا کردن رفتار است هدف علم اخلاق هم در همین راستا معرفی می‌شود. http://akhlagh.saminatech.ir/en/Article/Download/16773
